Our Services
At Bryn Awelon Nursing Home, we provide high-quality general nursing care tailored to the needs of elderly residents. Our home is registered to offer 24-hour nursing care, delivered by experienced Registered Nurses and skilled Healthcare Assistants.
Our facilities span two floors, featuring 26 comfortable bedrooms and spacious communal areas including lounges, a dining room, sitting areas, and a large conservatory—ensuring privacy and community without crowding.
We currently have 28 beds available for male and female residents, and we welcome individuals funded by the Local Authority, Health Board, or privately.
We provide care for:
- Elderly individuals requiring general nursing support
- Residents with early stages of dementia whose nursing needs are a priority
- Individuals requiring palliative (end-of-life) care
Our dedicated staff includes a committed team of carers—many of whom hold NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications—and all new team members are encouraged to pursue further training as part of our ongoing commitment to excellence.
Additional services include regular chiropody and hairdressing visits.
Entertainment & Activities
We believe in the importance of meaningful daily engagement. Our full-time Activities Coordinator organises both group activities and one-on-one sessions tailored to individual preferences.
We also welcome outside entertainers and encourage families and friends to join in. Activities vary daily and are inclusive of all residents who wish to participate. A mobile library service offers additional opportunities for learning, hobbies, and leisure.
Celebrations
We cherish the special moments—individual birthdays, seasonal celebrations, and cultural holidays—bringing joy and togetherness to our home. Some of our favourite gatherings have included:
Christmas & Easter festivities
Summer barbecues in the garden
Afternoon teas for families and loved ones
Ice cream parties & karaoke nights
National holiday events
Every celebration is an opportunity to create lasting memories, strengthen bonds, and honour the individuality of each resident.
